The Flowered Press showcases plant art by lifelong gardener Marguerite Alpert. 

Her pressed designs are created from plant material harvested from Marguerite’s home garden in Connecticut and the New England countryside.

Fresh plants are dried naturally in handmade wooden presses which allows perfectly imperfect features to be appreciated. Some flowers in the collection are deconstructed and then reconstructed in two dimensional designs offering a novel view of nature. More details in plant material can be revealed after the drying process and invite the viewer to take a closer look.
